ISRAEL, MONARCHISTS, REFORMISTS, AND THE U.S.:DENIAL OR INSTRUMENTALIZATION OF THE PROTESTS IN IRAN

ISRAEL, MONÁRQUICOS, REFORMISTAS Y ESTADOS UNIDOS: NEGACIÓN O INSTRUMENTALIZACIÓN DE LAS PROTESTAS EN IRÁN

"Bread, Work, Liberty! Down with Khamenei! Down with Rohani! Students and Workers Unite! The Painless Rich are the Disgrace People! We will Fight, We will Die, and Retrieve Iran! Reformists, Conservatives, Your Story is Over! Students are Awake and Hand in Hand with Workers! We are All Unemployed and Will Make You Feel It!"

These were some of the slogans we could hear during the past days of heated protests in over 60 Iranian cities and towns.

In such a crucial and historic moment, how do we understand and engage with the current uprising? Hostility, indifference, or solidarity?

In an era where class analysis is ridiculed and rejected by various liberal frames within and beyond Iran, the very subjects of ridicule have taken the streets.

In the past week, over a thousand people have been arrested across 60 cities, towns, and villages in Iran. Televised confessions have been broadcasted. And over a dozen individuals have been murdered.

However, in the middle of this rebellion - that is the rebellion of the unemployed, students, working class, and pensioners against poverty, unemployment, and dictatorship, or put differently, against political and economic oppression - the US, Israel, monarchists, the Iranian government itself, and so-called reformist forces, have all come to either deny or instrumentalize the protests in favour of their own interests. Trump declares his support, as if economic and political oppression would not be part of the United States’ everyday. Netanyahu publicly sympathizes with the protesting people, although he and his government have never thought of any people’s good but their own profit. Iranian monarchists storm foreign media agencies to proclaim that the majority of people in Iran would like to return to the political system of 40 years ago, which is in the best case a well propagandized lie. The Iranian government and its paramilitaries have tried all different techniques to discredit the protests, either trying to frame it as provoked by certain conspirative forces like for instance former president Ahmadinejad and his supporters, or as activated by Israel, the US and monarchists.

But the biggest losers of the protests are the reformist forces that are integral in the hegemony of the present regime in Iran. Slogans like “Reformist, Conservatives - your story has come to an end”, and “Down with Rohani”, are only two examples of how the protesting people have made clear that they fully rejecting the false binary of reformist versus conservative electoral politics and their common trajectory towards the neoliberalization of Iran.

The shortcut to our main statement is: This new movement of the lower classes in Iran is being sabotaged discursively while also being murdered by the police and paramilitary forces . It therefore needs the support of individuals, independent news agencies, magazines, and collectives abroad. Solidarity needs to be made public. The political powers and reactionary/dogmatic oppositional forces at stake should not be given an easy way to instrumentalize and frame the protests for their own purposes.

“¡Pan, trabajo, libertad! ¡Abajo Jamenei! ¡Abajo Rouhaní! ¡Estudiantes y trabajadores, uníos! ¡Los ricos ociosos son la desgracia del pueblo! ¡Vamos a luchar, vamos a morir y a salvar Irán! ¡Reformistas, conservadores, su historia se acabó! ¡Los estudiantes están despiertos y hombro con hombro con los trabajadores! ¡Todos estamos desempleados y se los haremos sentir!
Estas fueron algunas de las consignas que pudimos escuchar durante los pasados días de candentes protestas en más de 60 ciudades y pueblos de Irán.
En un momento histórico tan crucial ¿cómo comprender y cómo comprometerse con el levantamiento actual? ¿Hostilidad, indiferencia o solidaridad?
En una era en que el análisis de clase es ridiculizado y rechazado por varios esquemas liberales dentro y fuera de Irán, aquellos que eran ridiculizados hoy han tomado las calles.
La pasada semana, más de mil personas fueron arrestadas en 60 ciudades, pueblos y aldeas de Irán. Las confesiones se han televisado. Y más de una docena de individuos han sido asesinados.
Sin embargo, en medio de esta rebelión —es decir, de la rebelión de los desempleados, de los estudiantes, de la clase obrera y de los pensionados contra la pobreza, el desempleo y la dictadura, o, en otras palabras, contra la opresión política y económica— Estados Unidos, Israel, los monárquicos, el propio gobierno de Israel y las llamadas fuerzas reformistas, han salido o bien a negar o a instrumentalizar las protestas a favor de sus propios intereses. Trump declara su apoyo, como si la opresión política y económica no fuera el pan de cada día para Estados Unidos. Netanyahu se solidariza públicamente con los manifestantes, aunque ni él ni su gobierno han pensado nunca en el bien de ningún pueblo, sino en su propia ganancia. Los monárquicos iraníes acosan a las agencias noticiosas extranjeras para que proclamen que la mayor parte del pueblo en Irán quiere volver al sistema político de hace 40 años, que es, en el mejor de los casos, una bien difundida mentira. El gobierno de Irán y sus paramilitares han recurrido a toda suerte de técnicas para desacreditar las protestas, ya sea achacándolas a ciertas fuerzas conspirativas, como, por ejemplo el expresidente Ahmadineyad y sus partidarios, o diciendo que están instigadas por Israel, Estados Unidos y los monárquicos.
Pero las que más pierden con las protestas son las fuerzas reformistas, que son parte integrante de la hegemonía del actual régimen en Irán. Consignas como “Reformistas, conservadores, su historia se ha acabado!, y “Abajo Rouhaní”, no son más que dos ejemplos de cómo los manifestantes han dejado claro su rechazo total a la falsa dicotomía de la política electoral entre reformistas y conservadores y a su programa común de neoliberalizar Irán.
En pocas palabras, declaramos: Este nuevo movimiento de las clases bajas en Irán está siendo discursivamente saboteado, y al mismo tiempo asesinado por la policía y por las fuerzas paramilitares. Por lo tanto, necesita del apoyo de individuos, agencias noticiosas independientes, revistas y colectivos en el exterior. La solidaridad tiene que hacerse pública. No debemos facilitar el camino para que los poderes políticos y las fuerzas de oposición reaccionarias/dogmáticas en juego se aprovechen de las protestas y las conduzcan en su propio beneficio.

Ψωμί, δουλειά, ελευθερία! Κάτω ο Χομεϊνί! Κάτω ο Ροχάνι! Φοιτητές και εργάτες ενωθείτε! Οι ανελέητοι πλουτοκράτες είναι η ντροπή του λαού! Θα παλέψουμε, θα πεθάνουμε και θα πάρουμε πίσω το Ιράν! Ρεφορμιστές και Συντηρητικοί έχετε τελειώσει! Οι φοιτητές αφυπνίστηκαν και βαδίζουν χέρι-χέρι με τους εργάτες! Είμαστε όλοι άνεργοι και θα σας αναγκάσουμε να το καταλάβετε!
Αυτά είναι ορισμένα από τα συνθήματα, που μπορούσαμε να ακούσουμε τις τελευταίες μέρες στις δυναμικές διαδηλώσεις, που έλαβαν χώρα σε πάνω από εξήντα ιρανικές πόλεις και κωμοπόλεις.

Σε μια τόσο κρίσιμη, ιστορική συγκυρία, πώς κατανοούμε και πώς εμπλεκόμαστε στον ξεσηκωμό αυτό; Εναντίωση, αδιαφορία ή αλληλεγγύη;

Σε μια εποχή, που οι ταξικές αναλύσεις απορρίπτονται και λοιδορούνται από φιλελεύθερους εντός και εκτός Ιράν, τα υποκείμενα, που δέχονται το χλευασμό τους έχουν καταλάβει τους δρόμους.

Την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα, πάνω από χίλιοι άνθρωποι συνελήφθησαν σε εξήντα πόλεις, κωμοπόλεις και χωριά του Ιράν. Τηλεοπτικές ομολογίες μεταδόθηκαν και πάνω από δώδεκα άνθρωποι δολοφονήθηκαν.

Παρ΄όλα αυτά, στα μέσα αυτής της εξέγερσης –που είναι η εξέγερση των ανέργων, των φοιτητών, της εργατικής τάξης και των συνταξιούχων ενάντια στη φτώχεια, την ανεργία και τη δικτατορία ή, για να το πούμε αλλιώς, ενάντια στην πολιτική και οικονομική καταπίεση- οι ΗΠΑ, το Ισραήλ, οι μοναρχικοί, η ίδια η ιρανική κυβέρνηση, και οι λεγόμενοι ρεφορμιστές, προσπαθούν είτε να αρνηθούν είτε να εκμεταλλευτούν αυτές τις διαδηλώσεις για τα δικά τους συμφέροντα. Ο Tραμπ διακηρύσσει την υποστήριξη του, λες και η πολιτική και οικονομική εκμετάλλευση δεν είναι καθημερινή πραγματικότητα στις ΗΠΑ. Ο Νετανιάχου τάσσεται δημόσια υπέρ των διαδηλωτών, παρόλο που η κυβέρνηση του δεν ενδιαφέρθηκε ποτέ για τα συμφέροντα του λαού, αλλά μόνο για τα δικά της. Οι Ιρανοί μοναρχικοί χρησιμοποιούν τα ξένα ειδησεογραφικά πρακτορεία, για να προπαγανδίσουν πως η πλειοψηφία του κόσμου στο Ιράν επιθυμεί την επιστροφή στο πολιτικό καθεστώς, που επικρατούσε πριν από σαράντα χρόνια, κάτι που, στην καλύτερη περίπτωση, είναι ένα καλοστημένο ψέμα. Η ιρανική κυβέρνηση και το παρακράτος της έχουν δοκιμάσει κάθε μέσο για να δυσφημίσουν τις διαδηλώσεις, προσπαθώντας να τις παρουσιάσουν ως υποκινούμενες είτε από συνωμοτικές δυνάμεις, όπως ο πρώην πρόεδρος, Αχμαντινετζάντ, και οι υποστηρικτές του, είτε από το Ισραήλ, τις ΗΠΑ και τους μοναρχικούς.

Οι μεγαλύτεροι χαμένοι από αυτές τις διαδηλώσεις, όμως, είναι οι ρεφορμιστές, οι οποίοι παίζουν κεντρικό ρόλο εντός του πολιτικού καθεστώτος. Συνθήματα όπως ‘’ Ρεφορμιστές και Συντηρητικοί έχετε τελειώσει!’’ ή ‘’ Κάτω ο Ροχάνι!’’, είναι μόνο δύο παραδείγματα για το πως οι διαδηλωτές απορρίπτουν καθαρά το ψευτοδίλημμα ‘’ρεφορμιστές ή συντηρητικοί’’ που τίθεται στις εκλογές, καθώς και τον κοινό, νεοφιλελεύθερο προσανατολισμό της πολιτικής τους.

Εν συντομία, η θέση μας είναι: Το νέο αυτό κίνημα των χαμηλότερων τάξεων στο Ιράν, υπονομεύεται από πολλές πλευρές ενώ υπάρχουν ακόμα δολοφονίες από την αστυνομία και παραστρατιωτικές δυνάμεις. Για το λόγο συτό, χρειάζεται την υποστήριξη από άτομα, ανεξάρτητα ειδησεογραφικά πρακτορεία και συλλογικότητες του εξωτερικού. Η αλληλεγγύη πρέπει να είναι μαζική. Τα πολιτικά στρατόπεδα και οι αντιδραστικές/δογματικές δυνάμεις, που βρίσκονται σε κίνδυνο, δεν πρέπει να βρουν εύφορο έδαφος για την εργαλειοποίηση των διαδηλώσεων για τους δικούς τους σκοπούς.
